26.8.2009 Nappe1: Still alive...

Even though I have been quiet, it does not mean nothing happening... quite few projects going on after I now have left behind 5 months long fight against abcess / fistel.

I have plans to release 3 standalone cars during this year:

  • 1968 Mini Cooper 970 S
  • 1965 Renault Alpine A110 1100cc
  • 1962 Lotus Elite "works"

Also, the REAL mod is already in version 1.3 and I am hoping to release full install version of it soon enough.

17.3.2009 Nappe1: RP-Design: Decade of Addons!

As the day has changed to tuesday here, It is time to start celebration of 10th anniversary. Though I recal original webpages going live somewhere in mid-afternoon, I think 10 years is such long time that starting a bit early isn't too bad.

10 years ago, game modding was quite different and one of the pioneer games series, Need For Speed (NFS III: Hot Pursuit was about 7 months old and first news about IV: High Stakes started to drop in.) was gathering quite lot ppl actively modding, making tools and stuff for the game, though the publisher of the game had very little (if any) interest to modding and it's possible effect on game sales.

Even though the tools were much more limited and games had very limited gfx capabilities, some great guys were able to make some really fantastic cars. Some of them are still in modding, some others are not.

Due some illness and delays, The REAL mod 1.0 won't be released today, but we are hoping still to finish it before F1 Venue Championship 2009 starts with Melbourne in next tuesday.

I am also hoping to find some time to make small graphical updates to site as well as something special to celebrate 10 year long ride.

Thanks to Remko, Denis Arroux, Beni, Butch, Arushan, IH8Cops, old World Track Studios members, NFSCheats and Racerplanet / TotalNFS and many those splendid community sites which have been long gone already.

Also thanks everyone in NoGrip, Gamers-Crib and AltBierbude.de and everyone suporting us during these years. :) We'll keep going as long as this stays as fun as it has been.

and here's the link to way-back-machine, if you want to see how it all started 10 years ago. :)

24.2.2009 Nappe1: The REAL Mod goes Public Beta.

At last. :)
go and pick up your copy from GT Legends Mods -section.

Remember read the included readme.

15.2.2009 Nappe1: GT Legends REAL-Mod coming soon as public beta.

We are finalizing the REAL mod for Public Beta release, which will hopefully be online soon.

1.0 version is planned to be released in 10th anniversary of RP-Design site, so even final release isn't that far away.

23.12.2008 Nappe1: Happy Holidays!

I've just started to upload latest closed beta version of our upcoming GT Legends mod, so those who know being part of the beta testing, you can start waiting to get info how to download it. :)

Next we are going to have christmas break and the development of mod continues somewhere in 2nd week of 2009. Yet, it is progressing really nice right now and as it is planned to be the car set for next F1 Venue Racing Championships, I think we are still right on schedule. :)

anyways,
Have a nice holidays and try to use the days as best as you can with your friends and relatives. :)
